Applications

Potential Cupron products include:

Hospital/Healthcare Textiles - Bedding, curtains, gowns, uniforms, towels, masks, catheters, gloves and gauze that will be protected from microbial attack.

Clothing - Garments which significantly reduce bacteria - induced odor, socks that are protected from fungus, and underwear that is protected against degradation by common fungus and bacteria.

Industrial Clothing - Garments for use by military and civil defense personnel.

Healthcare Products - Latex (and latex-substitute) examination gloves and condoms.

Bedding and Bedrooms - Mattress covers and carpeting.

Dermal Wound Care Products - Gauze, bandages and other products used for dermal wound healing.

Free-Flow Filters - Blood, plasma and milk free-flow filters.

Cupron's manufacturing technology permanently binds its proprietary copper compound to textile fibers, non-woven fabrics, paper, latex and other polymeric products. Cupron yarn is introduced early in the textile manufacturing process and Cupron powder is introduced at the slurry stage for paper or polymer products. As a result, the manufacturing process for Cupron-based products does not require extra time, engineering or special equipment, and the protection afforded by such products will last as long as the products themselves, regardless of multiple washing or abrasion. Only a small percentage of Cupron fiber needs to be included in applications to be effective, resulting in a very cost-effective end-use product.
